Speed lives up to the name flowing quickly to the ball carrier and closing out with big tackles. Speed really does a nice job of tackling – that is pretty consistent on film and I suspect why he play so much FS, despite having a good skill set at CB too. I really like how he closes out on the ball carrier, that is really impressive on film. He shows quick choppy feet and keeps his hips square up on the attempt. His above average speed allows for him to make long tackles across the field and he takes very good pursuit angles too. Speed does not weigh much or at least his listed height is pretty low, and that seems to be backed up on what we see on film, but his tackling and overall upside is very good. Speed has grow to be around 6’3″ now. He played a lot of QB his junior year. He’s definitely an FBS athlete, what position, we are still deciding.
