Robbins was preseason All-State on our site, and he had about 1000 yards on the season after rushing for 1400 as a sophomore. There is no doubt the quick APB shows a versatile skill set, and reports that he is around 200 lbs – that is some enticing upside for sure. The 2021 recruit has the flexibility to play in the slot and has a knack for getting open too, which in this day an age of spread football is almost a necessity for most backs. Doesn’t blow by the defenders on film, acceleration does need work but can stride out long runs. Overall a quality D1 caliber back, but would like to see him work on explosiveness and agility in the tackle box. Still, he does a good job of squaring up on the defenders and makes good reads with his cuts and pretty natural getting his pads low too. Let’s say Robbins has a bounce back year senior year, there should be a good chance that more FBS programs jump on. Right now, his first offer is from SEMO, who always recruits the state well, and there should certainly be more D1 offers coming his way over the next month or so.
