From a pure athlete stand point Carlton’s massive frame and powerful body will certainly grab the eye of a lot of college scouts. His pure strength allows him to drive back defenders without implementing the best fundamentals. No doubt Carlton is an upside type of player, he needs to really focus on losing weight and improving his body control through core strengthening exercises. It’s easy to see his upside, and when everything comes together Carlton can really lay a defender out. He needs a lot of work, but his frame and general athleticism leads up to believe he can play at a high level but is a definitive red-shirt stash type of project lineman at this point.
