Cook is used to pressure during his HS career, and he does a good job of keeping his eyes downfield when flushed out of the pocket. He has an effortless release but would like to see less air on the ball on some his throws because in college the safety will come over top and pick that off. He does have a nice touch and he snaps off throws really fast from a good release point. He transferred out of Meadowcreek and is now at Collins Hill. His intermediate passing is pretty good and he has a nice touch while throwing the football on the run. Same problem as the year before though, too much air on these deep passes. Collins Hill new coaching staff wants to run the ball a lot, and this was a very important part to his progression. He’s run the read option really well this year and made a few defenders look silly with a series of jukes in 1v1 situations. He’s played in some very important 7-A football games, and not too many experts thought Collins Hill would be playoff bound. The senior is vastly improved as a runner and is a legit threat to break off a long run. Look forward to seeing his playoff film, and how he responds to the pressure.
