Lester is a fire hydrant in a football uniform. While he might be short for a linebacker, he is rather explosive and more than capable of getting a ball carrier off his feet. Lester does a nice job of reading the play and shooting the gaps. He does an excellent job of squaring up on his tackle attempts and has good agility in space so you don’t see too many ball carriers get to the outside of the linebacker. Lester efficiently tackles in space and has good leg drive to get the ball carrier down. He is just flat-out strong though, and can get a ball carrier down with his immense strength, which his weight-lifting numbers equally support. His great motor is his top asset to bring to the next level and something that should catch colleges’ attention. He should get some good attention at the summer camp circuit where his agility and strength will turn heads. We would like to see the 2025 continue to improve with his coverage skills and get quicker flipping his hips over. We do like the urgency he shows in coverage and he gets pretty good depth at times.
