What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

Playmaking and swift use of techniques combined with trained talent

The 6’3″ 270 lbs. defensive lineman is among the top at his position in all of 4A. Jones plays with physical hands at the point of attack with equally good quickness. Really like his hands and how powerful he is at the point of attack plus pretty quick feet too. Jones can brush off blockers efficiently. He plays with good leverage, a strong lower base, and uses his strength to stuff the middle. What makes Jones an interesting prospect is the versatility he shows on film. He does line up everywhere for Harris County on the defensive line; he’s even taking handoffs at the goalline on offense. One great quality about Jones is when he makes contact, the senior hits with good impact and you see the ball carrier go down effectively. Jones is an All-State caliber defensive tackle and should be on colleges’ recruiting boards. An impactful football player who plays with a lot of intensity and then really good metrics across the board. Jones has seen his weight fluctuate a good bit over the last 1.5 years, but has settled around 265-270 lbs. With a 3.5 GPA, he seems like a recruit who is extremely under the radar.
