Wheat was a really good two-way player last year at Stockbridge, and seemed to really to develop on the offensive line in their option offense. Playing mostly offensive tackle on the offensive side, Wheat looks pretty quick off the ball. Move over to defense, and you seem the same light feet which allows him to get around blocks, and make plays into the backfield. He does a good job of anticipating the play, maintains his area in the middle and gets a solid push up the middle. Wheat is a quality 2019 recruit. He shows above average athleticism at 265 pounds, and we are impressed with the production he accumulated his junior year playing on both sides of the ball. Getting full-time starter reps will be very important for Wheat this fall, but think a wide range of schools will be interested.
