What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

I make plays when the ball is either thrown or run by the opposing team. I’ve had a total of 3 picks in my HS career so far. 1 Freshman year and 2 my Sophomore season.

Barbas is an interesting recruit. He plays safety for Centennial and is also their punter. The ’23 safety is really quick to the football. He has excellent top end acceleration and his ability to flow to the ball carrier is perfect for a zone defense. Tackling is okay, he uses his arms a good bit, but there some solid fundamentally sound tackles too. Pursuit angles are solid, but needs to settle into his tackle better once he is in striking distance. Barbas hits hard though, even on profile tackles the light safety prospect is able to tackle with authority. He certainly needs to continue to bulk up but his ability run from sideline to sideline is really good, and he has some of the best top end acceleration we have seen of any safety in this class. We would like to see him develop more in coverage but you got to like the athletic upside Barbas. The ’23 recruit has grown about an inch in the last year and gained about 5 or so lbs, so don’t think he is going to be getting much taller at this point.
