What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
I am a coachable player that can make the team better as a whole. I am a playmaker that can come up in the run game as well as play the pass.
Tackling over at Griffin is very good, and Johnson is definitely part of that party. The 2021 safety does a nice job of squaring up his attempts and meeting the ball carrier low, wrapping up at the thighs and exploding thru the attempt. Johnson had several interceptions on the year, he is well positioned more times than not in pass coverage. Plays the deep ball well, gets his pads squared up and makes a play. What you will consistently see with Johnson is that he keeps his pads parallel to the LOS. He has very good focusing that respect. Definitely like Johnson at safety, his tackling is sound and looks very good playing cover 1 or 2 up top too. Just need to see the high IQ player to continue to fill out into his frame.
