Threat has a very productive junior year with 83 tackles, 8 tackles for loss and even had 3 PBU’s too. He really did a lot for his team, evening creating a turnover forcing a fumble and blocking a kick too. Threat has good closing speed. He hustles his tail off and is very quick getting into the backfield. The high-energy defender rotates hips over quickly and changes directions really well. Plays super low to the ground, very good at meeting the ball carrier in the gaps and getting low. Seems to be a consistent theme with linebackers at Central Gwinnett. Threat is a good fit to play off the edge in a nickle based defense. Next step is seeing Threat continue to make an impact in the passing game, but also understand that he is blitzed a lot off the edge. I really like the hustle we see from the backside, definitely shows up in the state column too.
