Looks like Taylor spent a lot of 2019 matched up against the top receiver on the other side. Naturally, like most top CB’s at a Gwinnett HS, Taylor shows good speed and has a very good vertical which helps him defend balls up top despite being about 5’9″. He is an energy player for sure, showing a lot of passion after completing a positive play. Taylor has a good frame to play nickle at the next level. He is good at squaring up on his tackle attempts and does a nice job of dropping his hips into his attempt. I really like that about Taylor a good bit. He looks like a good slot corner for sure, and has the physicality to play near the LOS too. Taylor can definitely go up and get the football, but still needs to continue to work on positioning himself to break up the pass. He also tends to use his hands too much in coverage. Overall he’s a very good athlete, with legit leaping ability and experience going up against talented receivers.
