Beasley flows to the football well, and got some good reps against 6-A competition. He tackles through the ball carrier and shows good acceleration. Beasley plays a hybrid role at Northview coming off the edge where he is lined up at OLB/SS/DE. His versatility is the most unique of almost any defender in the class from everything he does on film. Beasley needs to increase his weight going into his senior year. He’s a very good open field tackler, and you cannot deny his energy getting after the ball carrier – he should be a nice college player at the next level. Beasley looks really good getting off his blocks his length and intensity is just hard for HS players to match. I would like to see him create a few more turnovers on film. He is a good fit to play in a 3-5-3 or 4-2-5 at the next level. Spring film he is getting a lot more looks at SS, and shows pretty solid footwork in pass coverage, so I’m curious to see how that translates this fall – he has obviously made some improvements.
