Great approach upon release, Jay Jones has a quick first step which gives him the edge immediately at the line of scrimmage. He has really good focus high pointing the ball and is a deceptive route runner. He needs to camp this offseason and see him compete against players out of his area. Also a year in the weight room will help a lot but from a fundamental stand point Jay Jones has excellent skills. Jones was the #1 receiver in his region and was selected to the “All Tri-State Team” for Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama. FBS programs have started to take serious interest and rightfully so, he has even grown 2 inches this year, and shows a lot of upside. His offensive total this year ranked him in the top 10 in Georgia.
2016 STATS: 1159 & 85 receptions
