Davis is a great athlete who can just explode in the open field. He’s got awesome acceleration, and can close the gap on a ball carrier – an awesome skill for a DE. Davis does a very good job of setting the edge. He’s a powerful athlete at his core, so it’s really hard to knock him off the line. He’s very quick out his stance, and in so many cases the offensive tackle just cannot keep up with Davis. Considering his outstanding speed for a DE I don’t see how more P5 schools do not go after him. I would like to see him make more tackles from behind, though, just don’t see too many hustle plays on film – just outstanding raw strength and speed.
