Guest caught our eye when we were scouting his 2018 TE, and we came away impressed with his ball location and general size at QB. His numbers were extremely efficient with a 21 TDs to 5 INTs while completing 120 out of 190 passes. The 2019 recruit can make a tough throws, and his size allows him to throw over the 2nd level on intermediate routes. Guess shows a lot of patience as a passer, but makes some risky plays with his feet at the same time. I would like to see him primarily stay in the pocket and really work on his footwork. The senior can fire off passes and put them on a line. He throws with a good arm slot, pretty quick, and does a great job recognizing players who are open. I think it says a lot how much he used his TE’s last year and almost half of his 1600 passing yards went to them. Guest is a nice pro style QB at the next level. He is a good athlete, but needs more confidence when coming out of his mesh right now. I can see him improving as a runner this next year, and expanding the amount of offense interested in the signal-caller.
