Griffin is probably the most technically sound defensive lineman in the state of Georgia. He is powerful at the point of attack, and plays the game with a massive chip on his shoulder. He knows he is smaller than the competition, and he thrives on that underdog mentality. The senior is extremely quick off the ball, and can generate some massive hits in the backfield. As a junior he made the play of the state championship game where he blew the Buford offensive line and made the game-deciding 4th down stop, which clinched the state title for his team. This year he has continued to sharpened his fundamentals while he progressively adds muscle to his frame. He will have trouble ever getting up to 300, but his speed is what makes him such a good football player. He has a nose for the football and is relentless.
