Cannon sees the backfield really well and his ability to change direction is on a similar level to a running back. He has a wide body type with a lot surface area to make contact. The 2018 backer is a powerful tackler, his high power clean numbers support his explosive tackles, which is generated mostly from his hips. Cannon does not have outstanding straight line speed, and we would like to see him become more powerful getting off his blocks and try to get leverage on his opponent. The senior is a prototypical linebacker that should generate some serious Div 1 interest.
