Pope is an explosive FS prospect who also plays WR. Sure he shows very good ball skills at receiver, but his vision on defense and tackling is where he separates himself from your average recruit. To put bluntly, Pope is a P5 recruit – there is little doubt in our mind. Even if his speed doesn’t translate to be an effective FS, he shows the physicality and toughness to play SS. Pope has a good feel for the game regardless. He has very good hands, and the ball skills suggest that he can be a legit impact player playing the deep middle.
