Clemons is a three sport athlete with a wiry frame and good instincts play sports in general. He makes good reads in defensive coverage, you can tell his background as a baseball player helps reading the pass from a distance. He’s a pretty explosive athlete. Good leaping ability and times his jump really well. He made at least 5 interceptions last year and was one of the classification leaders. He’s a pretty slept on defensive back, but might have to do with low weight. Clemons weighs around 160 lbs. He has long arms and a good radius to break up passes – granted he usually goes for the interception. He was close to handful more interceptions. Clemons plays FS, but really looks a lot more like a cornerback at the next level. He has pretty good acceleration breaking on the pass, but don’t see much with change of direction. Definitely has solid speed. Clemons is a decent tackler for his size too. Looks like I really missed the boat on not making Clemons preseason All-State, but definitely on our watchlist at the end of the year if he can repeat his 2019 production.
