Smith took over the RT job at Buford, and just from watching junior film, you got to love how physical he is at the point of attack. Smith has good strength in his upper body, and can just mash the defender into the ground. Very wide frame, definitely an offensive guard at the next level. Pretty quick feet, but definitely some room for improvement there. Smith has some nice skills, he is pretty well coached already for a high school player, so would like to see him continue to make progress in the weight room, specifically in the lower body. He uses his hands very well when blocking in pass pro and run blocking too. Needs to get quicker out of his stance and lateral quickness overall. Smith is definitely a good blocker, and should see a nice offer list from D1’s. Lost about 10 lbs over the last year in fact, and wrestles too. Like Smith a good bit among the OG in this class.
