J.C. French – QB
Blessed Trinity

#13 QUARTERBACK

HT: 6’1″
WT: 205
Class: 2022

Wesleyan made it all the way to the state title French’s sophomore year, and he threw for 3286 yards and 48 total touchdowns. That’s gonna catch pretty much everyone’s attention, and at the tail end of that sophomore campaign he received offers from several FBS programs. With the pandemic though, it seems like the air has been let out of his recruitment, and junior year at Blessed Trinity there is just a few games to go off of. So a lot of this scouting report will be focused on that season. Given his 6’1″ frame, what really stands out with French is his ability to survey a defense and find the open man. He does a very good job of going through his progressions and just letting the game come to him. French doesn’t press things, and that’s why he is one of the most efficient passers in his recruiting class. He does a great job of leading his receiver, some of the best in the state for sure. He can air the ball out 50 yards downfield and hit his man in stride. The relaxed nature of French in the pocket is a calming presence for the entire team. He does an excellent job of delivering his fakes on play action and gets the football out quickly. His accuracy down field really is some of the best in the state, and we think French is the type of recruit that should have his options of which FBS school to choose from.
