What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
2 interceptions, 1 for TD, 42 tackles, 7 pbu’s, All around hard worker and hard player. Very coachable knowledgeable of the game.
Toombs is above average athlete at cornerback. He’s pretty quick, making breaks on the ball and playing generally tight coverage. Has a really good feel reading the QB’s eyes and does a nice job of playing the football. Toombs has very good ball skills for a cornerback. That combination is one reason why he played free safety at some points this year. Overall the senior has good coverage skills. He’s a solid athlete, but a few more years in the weight room could make a huge difference for him – has a decent base to build on. Would like to see him continue to work on his tackling fundamentals and to be sure to keep his head to avoid concussions.
