What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
My work ethic, intelligence, and leadership, all of which I strive to use on and off the field, but most importantly, my desire to win and ability to make it happen. I was Region 7 4A offensive player of the year, and set the Marist passing yards record with a little over 1700 yards this season.
Another Marist QB with excellent grades in Abshier. He threw for some really efficient numbers with 1700 yards on the season and 14 touchdowns and just 2 interceptions. The senior QB shows pretty good footwork in the pocket and does a nice job stepping into his throw. He sees the field pretty well, doing a great job of surveying the field, reading his keys, and making the correct pass more times than not. Good pocket awareness for Abshier, and he has nice feel for evading the surrounding pass rushers. I think strong academic schools should be interested in Abshier, he does a good job of running their offense at a high level and got his team all the way to the state title game.
