O’Neal gets a good jump on the football, and does a nice job staying engaged with the defender where he gets very good leverage, and bull rushes his way into the backfield. It’s easy to see where added muscle could have a big impact on his game, but right now, he is still a work in progress in the weight room. Confirmed at 6’2.5″, O’Neal certainly has the frame to be upwards of 280 lbs without losing his quickness. The 2020 recruit is a 3 sport lettermen, he plays the game with a lot of passion and works hard to get off his blocks. Hall hits with authority and shows a pretty quick swim move getting around blocks too. His fundamentals are way above average for his age group, and senior year he has been part of a dominating rushing attack that has took Class A Private by storm. The senior’s motor is second to none, and you have to love his leg drive once engaged with a defender. O’Neal has played very well at LG primarily for HIES, but with his quickness to the 2nd level and good fundamentals he is a nice fit at center. I’ve always been impressed O’Neal’s reactions, and looks like he is a whole lot more explosive his senior year too.
