Kilgore has become the guy at QB for Putnam Co. who has started the year undefeated and ranked for the first time since 2011. Colleges shouldn’t sleep on this signal-caller. He is a savvy player with that left-handed creativity to make plays on the fly. He looks comfortable rolling out to his left, but would like to see him be moving towards his target upon release – right now he is mitigating the overall power of his throws by jumping the air and moving towards the sideline. Needs to continue to work on arm strength in general. As a runner he is pretty elusive, and shows solid wiggle in the open field. More impressed with his IQ for the game and just reading defenders – still needs work on getting quicker changing directions, but he shows some legit upside as an option QB. What I like about Kilgore is that he makes good cutbacks, and reads the defender well from a distance and is good at getting in to bad angles to make tackles. I think option teams will be all over him.
