What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
I have the ability to be accurate with the ball when being pressured. I am a high percentage passer and can keep drives alive with my legs. I see coverages and defensive schemes before they happen.
Payton keeps the play alive in the pocket by moving his feet while keeping his eyes up field looking for a potential target. He’s a slippery QB with really good agility and enough speed to turn the corner and beat a defender with an angle on him. Payton also has the innate ability to locate a receiver with heavy interference in the backfield and his overall composure as a QB is impressive. Payton has a really strong arm, capable of making deep outs on the run and throwing over top of the linebackers in a zone. He has a really nice touch on his deep passes, giving the ball enough air for the receiver to run under. For his senior year he will be playing at Parkview and we expect him to get over 3000 yards passing in their high-scoring offense.
