Vaughan does a very good job of redirecting the receiver right at the snap. He uses those same violent hands to get off blocks quickly and does a nice job of getting into the backfield. The 2020 recruit is obviously well trained in how he defends the pass. He slides his feet well at the snap and quickly fires his hips up field. Does a nice job. Sticks with several FBS caliber WR’s at SWD. Tackling is pretty good, but needs to do a better job of squaring up his pads on the ball carrier. Good player in pursuit and makes his fair share of assisted tackles. I think you see his tackling take an uptick, and his recruitment could really go off, but as a coverage cornerback, there is a lot to like. He shows the versatility to play boundary or field positions.
