Jackson is one of the smartest athletes in the entire class of 2021 in terms of GPA, and that should have plenty of D1 schools interest when coupled with his track speed on the field. He can really burn, and I’ll be the first to admit that looking at his listed weight and height had us overlook Jackson, but roll back the tape from the last few years and you see an athlete with some legit break away speed. He is a big play waiting to happen in fact, and you can see why he was the QB at Woodland Stockbridge this last year – you got to get the ball into his hands. Jackson has good vision, he sees cutbacks and has the acceleration to get around tacklers. Do not think he will be a QB at the next level, bad looking release and lack of height. He’s definitely a slot at the next level, his quickness and acceleration are very good. Some of the clips at receiver are pretty promising as he shows good hand-eye coordination tracking the football. He also looks pretty good at cornerback too where he can make up for a misstep with his impressive acceleration. Biggest note for Jackson was lat year he was only 160 lbs., and over the last 6-8 months the 2021 recruit is now up to 180. That’s a huge gain, and wondering how well he produces in 2020 after being a full time starter as a junior. 50 lbs improvement on his power clean – definitely like Jackson progression.
