The junior has continued to improve each year at Archer, and now this fall Mangual has really proven to be a good cover corner. He times his breakup pretty well, and has long enough arms to have a good radius to breakup passes. Tackling is solid, and getting better at getting off blocks and playing physical with hands. Would like to see him tackler lower and towards the midsection where he drives his feet. Too many profile tackles. The quick corner changes directions well though, and definitely like his potential to play a high level of football. He has gained 15 lbs in the last year and grown an inch too. Pretty good varsity experience the last few years for Mangual, and should definitely one of the better CB’s in Gwinnett come senior year. Adding weight this offseason will certainly help garner more attention from D1 programs.
