What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
I am an explosive player that never gives up, I run to the ball no matter where it is on the field. My junior year stats were 111 tackles, which put me in 3rd in the area for most tackles, I had 10 tackles for a loss, 5 sacks, and 4 forced fumbles. I was selected as first team all area and sub region defensive linemen.
Right off the bat you can watch Jones film and realize that he plays the game like his hair is on fire. You consistently see him chase down ball carriers from the backside. He has legit closing speed, and narrows the gap in short spaces with even skilled players. Jones is a pure hustle type of player, and his 111 tackles last fall was one of the highest for a defensive end in Georgia. Jones has really impressive film, and against all kinds of talent he shows out. The 2019 recruit would be a great fit as a 3-4 OLB at the next level as he certainly shows the speed to do so. Not sure what his 40 time, he would be a great camp kid, but what he does have is football speed. Cannot teach hustle, and that’s Jones’ top asset. Jones continued his strong play SR year and his Christian Heritage team played some great football this year. He’s a strong player, knocked tackled a ball carrier on one play and knocked his own teammate to the ground too. Nice wide shoulders, I think Jones is the type of recruit who can play at a high level. Forced a lot of fumbles his SR year.
