Mincey takes the hand off and accelerates through the hole like his hair is on fire. Got to like the urgency that he plays with once the ball is in his hands. Do not expect the 2021 to start dancing around with the ball. He is a purely one cut and go type of back. Takes what the defense gives, doesn’t seem to force the issues. Solid speed for his position, not a legit home run hitter but he hits top speed quickly at least. Needs to really work on his lateral quickness too. Watching his playoff film and Mincey has done well in these big games. He is patient waiting for his blocks to develop on Toombs zone blocking scheme and knows when to accelerate. Quality back for sure. Mincey has gained 20 lbs. over the last year, which certainly checks off an area of improvement we were looking for just from a pure athletic stand point. Mincey looks to have better balance here in 2020 and is breaking tackles consistently. Much stronger in the lower body then this time last year, arm tackles are not getting him down.
