Williams has some natural shake to his game, and as a dual threat QB he has very good vision once he gets into the open field. He sees cut back angles and is good at timing his cuts. Makes some pretty wild/lucky throws right now, will need to improve his decision-making. Doesn’t set his feet always when making a pass, throws off back leg at times and the ball hangs up. Williams is a gifted athlete though, over the last year he’s added 15 lbs. and really packed on the weight. He is effortless in how he glides down field. Arm strength seems to be okay. His best skill right now is running the read option right now, and for that reason option schools will be interested in him. He does a nice job of squaring his pads up field and runs with authority. The added strength in the last year definitely has added to passing out to the sideline, and he is making defenses pay playing a soft zone. What I like about Williams is his relentless effort he shows to get extra yards after contact, he is a really tough athlete, and seems to be really filling out nicely. On defense, he looks very physical, and I can see that potential at the next level too. As good as he is offensively, at the next level Williams could be a dynamite stick at safety. Williams has led his team to an undefeated record so far this year, and certainly looks like one of the best athletes in all of Class A Private. Good commit for Indiana, they land a versatile athlete that will have coordinators on either side fighting to get him freshman year.

You know nothing about this kid I see!! He is proving you wrong right now as I speak!!

    1. Thanks for checking out the site! It’s his junior scouting report, which went out to FBS colleges back in February. I believe several of our subscribers recruited Dexter, but ultimately signed with Indiana, which is a great choice. I’ll go checkout his film on Friday and see how his mechanics have come along at QB, but I’m essentially calling him a top tier athlete, so not too huge of a slight.
