Powell showcases very good balance and runs with great pad level. His low center of gravity makes him very hard to knock off his feet. The class of 19 recruit’s toughness gives him a major advantage over the competition. Powell does a good job of using his blocks, he doesn’t hit full speed till he sees a seam and does a good job of letting everything develop. He has filled out his frame well over the last 12 months since he first signed up. We were really impressed with how he improve as a receiver over the last year, and he must be accounted for on all downs now. Very deceptive runner and looks like his lateral quickness has improved a good bit too. Powell is a two time state champion. After winning the state championship he earned Savannah Athlete Player of the Week.
