The Tucker 2021 recruit has pretty quick hands getting off his blocks. He gets out his stance pretty quickly and uses his speed to get right by the blocker.. Once he is at the ball carrier Rivers goes in with a low tackler where he meets the ball carrier at the waist. A lot of role tackles on his film, not sure if he does that on purpose or just natural, but effective at getting the ball carrier down. Has very good hands, plays with excellent leverage and keeps a flat back while engaged. There is a lot of power coming from Rivers lower body. He is a quick-twitch type athlete who I don’t think will just be a pass rush specialist in college with how well he takes on these blocks. In fact, Rivers has better run stopping instincts than pass rush and he will chase the football all the way out to the sideline in order to make a tackle.
