Roberts is just a natural running with the football, and can make cuts on a dime. Once the ball is in his hands, the 2020 back quickly accelerates through the line of scrimmage, showing an elite burst for his age group, and then the desire/strength to bust threw tackle attempts for additional yardage. Roberts has added 15 pounds to his frame over the last few years, but even more encouraging is his major drop in shuttle time from 4.7 to 4.2. Last year as a sophomore he rushed the ball 83 times for 626 yards, in just 5 starts. Roberts is now the featured back at Harrison is well on track for over 1000 yards this season with several game being such big blowout that he doesn’t even play in the 2nd half. He’s got excellent vision seeing cut back angles and uses his acceleration to get around defender even with good angles. Roberts has pretty good hands, and offers an array of option where you can use the 2020 back. He looks to be one of the best all-purpose backs in his recruiting class.
