Caleb Vaughan – ATH
Langston Hughes

(5 customer reviews)

#4 SAFETY

HT: 6'1″
WT: 196
GPA: 3
Class: 2018

Vaughan is a big DB and his weight hovers right around the 200 pound area. He does a great job tracking down the ball carrier, and performs an explosive tackle, typically below the waist. Vaughan closes fast on the player, showing really quick reactions, while also being a consistent tackler in 1 v 1 situations. At the next level he projects best as a FS, but honestly has the versatility to play any of the DB positions. Really like his size, upside, and versatility – FBS/FCS programs should give him serious looks.

Quick Update: Vaughan transferred over to Langston Hughes, and is playing QB. He can sling the ball, puts the ball on a line 25 yards down field. Him moving over to QB is an interesting revelation, not something we really anticipated, but what I think it does prove is he is a great athlete. He still gets snaps at safety at Langston and his size and speed is certainly impressive. Vaughan is making plays, and that alone should attract schools at varying levels depending on what they are looking for.
