Smith will be on every FBS school’s radar here over the next year. His length and size at 6’6″ and 230 lbs. is elite for his age group. He shows excellent lateral quickness. Springy athlete who gets out his stance very quickly. Needs work on timing snap but he is quick and already a disruptive defender in his sophomore film. Smith is set for a big junior year here, and think he can get close to double-digit sacks – that depends on how much the competition passes the football honestly. He’s an okay tackler, given his size he does a solid job of getting low, but would like to see him drive his legs more through the attempt. His length is a legit weapon, and Smith is able to get off blocks quickly. I would like too see more pass breakups on film tho. This young athlete should be loaded with P5 offers by the end of the fall.
