101 Tackles Junior year
Lavelle is a quality athlete with FBS size and a big time motor to go along with it. He had 101 tackles on the defensive line his junior year, which was one of the highest totals in the state of Georgia. He was an obvious standout in the Corky Kell, and also at the Elite Junior when we saw him live both times. Lavelle uses hands well, but we would like to see them get even quicker. He is a balanced defensive end, who right now favors more as a run-stopper but I think he can develop as a pass-rusher at the next level. He will be pushing 260 after a few years in a major college weight training program.
