What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

The ability to play both FS and QB well. Varsity starter since freshman year. 2016 1st team all region. Size, speed, and awareness of the game.

Norwood earned 1st team All-Region honors last fall and should be in 2018, but this time on the offensive side of the ball. He was the quarterback at Mt Pisgah, and over 10 game stretch he ended up with 2246 yards, 12 touchdowns while also rushing the ball for 585 yards, 9 TDs and a 6.2 ypc average. He was a long time commit at Air Force as a defender, but would like a shot to play QB at the next level. Norwood is a big athlete with the potential to be a dual threat QB in the right system. He’s a bruising runner, capable of getting the tough yards after contact. Sets his feet and is accurate leading the receiver from 30-40 yards down field. Reads defensive coverage’s pretty well, and he does a nice job looking off the safety when throwing a wheel. It’s only a 10 game sample size, but Norwood has some potential of being a spread dual threat QB that would pair well with a all-purpose back in a spread system. Junior he was on defense, and he reads the play quickly, rarely getting fooled on play fakes, and gets downhill to stop run plays before they can materialize. Out in space he is an excellent 1 v 1 tackler, which given more time in the weight room he could eventually move to middle linebacker. He did a good job matching up against Richard Jibunor from Athens Christian last year, and stuck him on a pass break up down the middle. Preseason All-State at LB, has a good shot of making All-State at QB this year.
