What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

Athleticism, dominant player overall

Considering Jackson’s 6’4″ 230 lbs. frame, we had initially thought he would be a good transition over to DL at the next level, but after watching some film, he certainly has more skills at tight than we initially expected. First, getting out his stance, the 2022 recruit gets upfield fast. He does a very good job of playing the football up top, even making a touchdown reception surrounded by all of the D1 DB’s over at Seminole County, that caught our attention right away. The young man has very good hand-eye coordination. Again, this recruiting class is just jammed back with talent at TE, and the 2022 recruit is definitely under the radar at the moment. Blocking definitely needs to be better, he is way too upright and doesn’t drive his legs though the defender. Jackson’s film is not cut very well after the first bit. He needs to show more urgency as a blocker though, that’s a fact. He tends to just give up after getting a good initial push, when he should be hungry for that pancake. Jackson is a receiver first for sure. Don’t think he has the mindset of a defender regardless of what his frame would suggest. Jump into his individual film and see for yourself. The 2022 recruit absolute needs to improve his blocking because the receiver film is solid, even though the production was sparse, which that is a lot more to do with Miller County having more of an athlete at QB last year than someone who can throw the pigskin. Jackson needs to play with more urgency and take advantage of his athleticism, coordination and very good strength.
