What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
I am a player with lots of potential. This is my first year of high school football since I am originally a basketball player at heart. Even though this is the case I have received interest from major colleges over the season and I feel that I have a lot more to show. This year I received first team all region as well. I was able to do this even though I wasn’t starting at the beginning of the year and am in a run heavy offense. I’ve definitely developed a love for this game and am willing to work harder than everyone else to reach my goals.
Weaver is playing his first year of football during his junior season. The 6’5″ receiver has a big catch radius and shows good reactions to the football. He tracks the football well, you can see the baseball background come into play when he accelerates through the catch on a deep pass. Weaver is 6’5″ which is a huge advantage, but also has good ball skills and has above average ball skills going up and attacking the football. For a relatively new route runner, Weaver shows some really good upside. He is a seamless athlete who can change directions really well. I like the overall athleticism, coordination and size with Weaver. Look for the 2023 receiver to take a jump as a route runner and end up being one of the top receivers in this recruiting class over the next year.
