What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
Strong legged Kicker/Punter combo. Ability to consistently hit kickoffs in the 68-75 yard range. Field goal range up to 57 yards. Very natural punter that consistently produces hang times in the 4.2-4.9 second range with an average distance approaching 40 yards. Athletic kicker that has just transitioned from years as a goalkeeper on the soccer field; named 2016 4A State Player of the Year in soccer. Coaches and scouts agree that upside is very high since only been kicking since May 2016.
Phillips earned a 4 star rating by Kohl Kicking Camp. He is new to playing kicker but has taken well to the transition from his background as standout soccer player. Phillips was in fact voted Class AAAA Player of the Year last season in soccer and based off his weight lifting measurements looks to be complete athlete. The senior kicking prospect has already garnered interest from both FBS and FCS schools but are waiting to see more in-game experience before offering.
