What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

Washington has good theoretical upside that is still being built up. That’s true for a lot of recruits, for Washington his 2020 film had some good moments but we would like to see more consistency his senior year. He needs to get quicker moving laterally. I do like the intensity from Washington off the line. You got to like his wide frame though, and there is good potential for Washington to fill out to 300 lbs. He does have solid hand placement and does a good job of fighting off blocks. Our biggest criticism of Washington was not being strong enough at the point of attack, especially in the lower body where he didn’t get enough leg drive. This offseason he gained over 100 lbs. to his squad and another 30 to his bench. Washington’s senior film shows much better intensity and power while engaged. He is doing a solid job of driving OL back or at least maintaining his gap responsibility. There is definitely an improved motor with better intensity getting after the football.
