Norton is splitting reps at running back, but his 70 yard touchdown against Creekside certainly caught our attention. He burned a defense with several P5 players, many at DB, so that should at least say that Norton has good top end speed for a 5’11” 210 lbs. running back. He is a straight line runner who just finds a seam and runs north-south. Pretty good at breaking tackles though, at least stepping out of them. Norton hits his top speed early, and explodes out of a hole. From a pure athletic stand point, Norton is an FBS football player. It doesn’t seem like he got a ton of production on the season, he’s not going to be at the top of MaxPreps or even be in All-State consideration, but the 2022 recruit can move a pile, and if given an opening he can break off long runs and has the speed to score. He’s not going to be very elusive in the open field, but his combo of speed and power will be enticing for any FBS program that looks at his film.
