What’s there not to like about Blakenship. The fast moving linebacker prospect figures to be a good WILL prospect. He is very fast, does a nice job picking up his assignment in passing situation – even doing a good job of subtly redirecting them. He is slow working his way as a locker room leader on his team, and has really taken the persona of being a defensive stopper. I really like the urgency that Blakenship drops back with, indicates to me the 2020 recruit gets it, and his speed should be plenty good stepping up and providing support underneath a zone defense. Looking to see how Blakenship fills out his frame will be crucial, but I can see high academic schools being interested in the 2020 recruit. To me, he has the character that military schools would really like to have considering his high academics. Right now Colubmia is the biggest offer for Blakenship at this point in his recruitment.
