Mason has been a quality looking recruit for 3 year’s now.. The 2019 recruit hits about as hard as any FS in Georgia. He shows outstanding ball skills and length going for up passes. He’s an improving athlete, but wouldn’t say he is going to wow anyone with his foot speed. Mason needs to continue to fillout his frame, and just in the last year he has gained 15 lbs of pure muscle. He has to build up his core strength and continue to improve his power clean specifically, but I think Mason can play FBS football. Played great his junior year, his film came out in March and he was all over. Made a ton of interceptiosn, looked very athletic when running the football. No doubt Mason is an impact player at the college level. He’s put on some really good weight lifting increases this offseason and starting to really believe is one of the biggest sleepers in the state of Georgia. His gains in the weight room have been impressive, and should get to be over 300 on his power clean in college no problem. In college he projects really well as a SS, even though he plays FS in HS. The 2019 recruit does a great job of taking pursuit angles, and if he continues to improve getting off blocks we think he can be a true steal in the 2019 recruiting class for a highly competitive FBS program, even if it’s a PWO at this point.
