Wilkens played varsity last fall for state champs Cartersville. He gets great leverage on the defensive lineman. He is a very active player who meets the oncoming defenders with intensity. Wilkins engages and drives his legs pushing back defensive lineman to spring long runs. Keeps his back flat and fires off the line of scrimmage on run plays – Wilkens get to the 2nd level quickly. He is also a good pass blocker and works well with his teammates chipping and picking up oncoming blitzers.
