What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

I have very high IQ when it comes 2 my position. I can read defenses and attack the weak points. I take coaching and apply it to my craft. I’m constantly working on my craft and what is needed to improve. I’m a great leader and will run the offense. I have short term memory when something bad happens, I fix it. I’m always wanting to hang 50, ’cause what are the chances of a team putting up 51? Slim to none.

Shirah caught my eye over a year ago in the preseason throwing nice tight passes with solid zip. He does a solid job of running a read option holding his mesh and has pretty good fundamentals in that respect. He can really freeze a defense. Shirah is very good at getting the football out his hands. He is a smart decision maker with the football and locates open receivers fast. Has a quick release too. Definitely throwing short passes, with more west coast type principles at the HS level. Doesn’t seem to throw the football too far down field. Shirah is a good student with a near 4.0 GPA. There is some decent flashes of talent here for Shirah, he has a good IQ and locates his receivers quickly, but he doesn’t have much film throwing past 5-10 yards. He’s one of the best I’ve seen selling his mesh in the read option, but as a runner he’s not too explosive. He’s a smart runner though and gets down before big hits preserving himself, and does make decent cuts, but the lack of explosion out of a cut is a problem, I would suspect a lack of weight lifting being the main culprit. He’s still a recruit to watch for option teams. He’s added 15 lbs. of muscle since last year, and should continue to fill out. My biggest focus this year is will he shows a more diverse passing skill set and how much more will he run, plus will the extra muscle help him break more tackles?
