Reeves enters his senior year with a lot of local accolades after a strong junior year. The 2021 recruit was used as both a running back, receiver and also played some defensive back too. Reeves impresses with his quickness, and over the last year has shaved down his shuttle time to the low 4.1’s. He does a good job of getting open, but could also work on tightening up his footwork. What you got to like about Reeves is his vertical running style – he really gets up field quickly. Just a solid all-around football player, I really like how he sets up his tackle attempt, but needs to drop his hips and explode through the ball carrier. Overall, Reeves is a solid high school football player, a little more added weight will help. He runs hard, and drives his legs through the tackler, not going to just arm tackle Reeves. He’s got good instincts on defense, gets down field quickly and attacks against the run. Would like to see him more in pass coverage honestly too. Definitely a player to watch for this fall, made some nice gains over the last year in the weight room and that should lead to even more explosive film.
