Dean needs to be more physical at the point of attack, at times, he seems to get on his heels which is probably a sign of improving his core strength. He has a nice motor tho, and I like what I’m seeing with the weakside tackles that he cleans up on a consistent basis. There several situations where he is running 15 yards down field, so there is a motor to his game. One thing I have noticed with the Lanier Co coaching staff is well trained they are in the weight room, and Dean has very solid numbers for a class of 2020 athlete. It’s pretty clear that he will grow into a DT at the next level. I think one of the biggest things for Dean is driving his legs through the tackle, sometimes he just ends up wrestling the ball carrier and uses his arms too much when tackling. Very interested in his potential as an OG too. Dean has some legit upside, I’m very impressed with his ability to change directions, it’s obviously one reason why he plays across the LOS. Hands seem to be more powerful when watching his senior film.
